To introduce myself, I am a freelance Producer/Exec producer with over 33 years of production experience. I have done every kind of shoot , from low budget music promos, multi-camera extravaganza’s that bought Piccadilly Circus to a halt on a Saturday night, feature films with A-list talent, direct to client online campaigns with major sports stars right the way through to beauty shoots with comedy influencers with a long list of deliverables including Stills, TVC and TikTok content...I have even shot on film.
I have extensive experience shooting overseas, shooting TV idents, TVCs, music videos in locations as diverse as Morocco to LA, Venice to South Africa.
As well as the usual shoot responsibilities I am used to dealing with clients at all levels, entertaining them at Cannes or taking them through additional charges and everything in between. As a producer I like to think I am firm but fair, I will always have one eye on the finished project while the other is always aware of the bottom line. I have extensive bidding experience, I love the problem-solving aspect of the job when you are handed a script and a figure and you need to find the best way to make the two work together. Outside of the usual shooting responsibilities I was also tasked with overseeing contracts, liaising with the APA with whom I have an excellent relationship, overlooking insurance for shoots and general office requirements, PL, EL, etc. On the bidding side, I was often called upon to oversee other producers budgets as well as keeping templates up to date to ensure that they reflected the current rates and shooting guidelines.
In addition to all of the above I have wide experience of RFI’s for the likes of P&G, Unilever, Reckkitt’s et al for production companies to be accepted on to their rosters for production work.
As well as the usual production company producer work , I have done many projects direct to client, such as Nike , Schwarzkopf P&G etc have given me an extensive overview of client requirements in terms of additional deliverables, clearcast and other clearances.
I am computer literate with my own apple laptop and am quick to learn new programs, I have also been involved in creating budgeting templates that are now used by the software companies in place of their own.
I have great relations with uk crew and believe strongly that a film crew is a team and the best results come when clients, agency, and production work closely together. I am well versed in APA terms and conditions as well as being up to date with current H&S recommendations. I take crew safety very seriously. In addition, I am proficient in Microsoft, google and Adobe programs.
I have shot around the world and have contacts in all the major filming centres as well as many that are up and coming shooting locations.

My work history.
Starting as a runner at Partizan, working in the production office and on shoots and working my way up to production manager. I spent seven years at Partizan, seeing it grow from a fresh young music video company to one of the cornerstones of the British advertising community. Working with iconic directors such as Michel Gondry, Sam Beyer, Doug Nichol to name just a few
During this period I also worked on two low-budget British feature films. Working with some amazing actors such as Richard Attenborough, Christopher Lee, Lisa Faulkner and Dominic West.
Next stop was Bullet Films, where I progressed to producer, working with high profile artists such as Simply Red, Jamiroquai, Craig David, Jamelia and Oasis, to name just a few, while also working on large and small commercials. I stayed with Bullet for 7 years before going freelance.
While freelance, I worked with many of the top companies in London such as RSA, Academy, Propaganda and Bikini films on a mixture of commercials and promos as both Producer and Production Manager.
In 2007, I joined Great Guns as an in-house producer and production
manager. Over the course of 15 years, I PM’d, Produced and exec produced 100’s of productions, working with the worlds tops brands such as Nike, Pantene, Olay Panasonic, Bentley and Aston Martin. With projects ranging from online content for a few thousand pounds up to million-pound commercial campaigns. During my time at Great Guns I handled roster applications, working closely with the owner and head of production to create attractive offerings for clients shooting around the world. I bid and shot extensively around the world, spending time in China, Thailand and India, The USA and many other locations shooting with Great Guns’ local teams. In addition to budgeting, I was also heavily involved in contracts and as a result I have an excellent working relationship with Steve at the APA. I was also client-facing at events such as Cannes Lions, where Great Guns ran a pop-up restaurant for invited clients in the pre-Covid days.
In 2022 I left Great Guns for a sabbatical and to assess my career path going forward. I have kept my hand in doing freelance work producing and bidding projects, most recently I produced a Dove Men+ spot with Thierry Henry for Irresistible studios.
I am now back and looking for interesting and varied work with new companies in a full-time role. Working with great people and creative talent, working with varied and interesting clients doing cutting edge work and taking them in new directions.
I feel I am a natural leader of a production team and while I am always ready to pass on the wisdom I have gained during my time in the industry, I am careful never to be closed-minded to suggestions from my team. After all, in production every day is a school day.
In my free time I am a keen photographer, a sci-fi geek and a wood turner, a hobby I took up during lock-down I have my own side gig making branded pens and bowls. I play short mat bowls, I am a keen quizzer and I have appeared on BBC’s Pointless with my wife. I have a full driving license as well as a motorcycle license and have my own car and motorcycle.
